The gem of the Flanaess, the Free City of Greyhawk, is without doubt one of the most important centers for trade, politics, and adventuring in all of Oerth. Indeed, there are even extra-planar creatures who regard the city with respect and awe (opinions of the party notwithstanding). Governed by a directing oligarchy of squabbling guild representatives, under the leadership of the Lord Mayor Nerof Gasgol, the city holds sway over the local region not through military prowess, but through the mysteries of economics.
