Looking for a meaningless brawl or bounty? Look no further than a good old-fashioned bandit hunt! If ever an inconsequential battle is needed to further the plot, bandits are as plentiful as red shirts.
Notable History
During the early months of CY 577, bandits in the Domain of Greyhawk were able to profit greatly by taking advantage of the chaotic nature of the local political arena. While the various guilds of Greyhawk were busy with an unsuccessful coup against the Lord Mayor Nerof Gasgol, many bands of criminals terrorized the countryside and became quite wealthy. All-in-all, it was something of a minor golden age for the highway men. Rumors continue to circulate about some possible influence from the Duchy of Urnst which may have precipitated the affair.
Fortunately for the local denizens, the party began a successful campaign to rid the area of most bandit activity. That they profited themselves from the many bounties claimed has not diminished their accomplishment. It was during this campaign of terror that Charles the Bandit began his path to redemption.
